What started as a tickle in the throat Thursday blossomed into a full-blown sore throat and deep cough Friday. The cough is still with me Sunday, and now the rain is back again.
What kind of a bike blog is written by a guy who hasn’t been riding his bike?
A short one, I think. I’m going to pour another hot cup of green tea and lie down.
Get to felling better! You can always write about upcoming cycling events in Austin or some interesting routes out in the country or cycling downtown Austin. Just some ideas.
I hear ya brother — cold, rain, flu, income tax, etc. I finally got on The Hoss Wednesday, when I went to get some new tires on my old hoopie. The weather was fair, so I dropped off the truck, and peddled back to the house while they re-shoed the old hack. Only 6.9 miles, but it felt good! The Gusher Marathon was Saturday, so I thought about riding to LU to see the time trials, but it was 31 degrees that morning! “I don’t think so Tim.” I hope you get to feeling better.
I hope you feel better. If you had to get sick at least you did while the weather was lousy. A boss used to tell me I was only allowed to get sick on the weekends because that was why we got the two days off.
It has medicinal properties, it doesn’t prevent illness but it helps cure it!
Feel better buddy!
Hope you feel better soon. Lost 3 weeks to sickness last year two different times. You just deal with it and ride again when you are able. Best of luck in your recovery!
Found your blog on a bike blog search. Think I’ll follow along and comment once in a while. I’m in western Colorado and our weather is great for riding right now. I’m a 63 yr old overweight man who mostly road bikes. I have a mountain bike but ride it on the road too. I’m too old to break any bones on a mountain.
Welcome aboard, Grant! I’m a year older than you, and while we don’t have any mountains around here, we have plenty of rocky trails for me to fall on.
I’m in the fourth week of a cold that just won’t let go. The first two weeks here in Atlanta were freezing, so no problem. But now it is warming up and it is beginning to bite!
